China will ban new natural gas methanol project

October 31 , the NDRC website , " Natural Gas Utilization Policy ", since December 1, 2012 implementation. The policy refers to the domestic natural gas natural gas, shale gas , coal bed methane (coal gas ) , coal gas, natural gas pipelines and liquefied natural gas imports (LNG) and so on.
"Policy" Depending on the characteristics of the gas , the natural gas users into city gas , industrial fuel , natural gas , natural gas chemical industry and other users. According to the use of natural gas into priority order , permitted , restricted and prohibited .
In industrial fuel users : building materials , machinery, textile, petrochemical, metallurgy and other industrial areas interruptible customers and natural gas, hydrogen project was a priority class ; these industrial areas with natural gas instead of oil , liquefied petroleum gas projects to new projects fueled by natural gas , environmental and economic benefits of natural gas on behalf of good coal project was listed as permitted ; expansion project has been built in ammonia plant to natural gas as raw material , ammonia plant from coal to gas project to methane as the raw material once products include acetylene, methane and other minor carbon- chlorine chemical projects , the new natural gas as feedstock nitrogen was listed as restricted ; new or expanded natural gas as feedstock to produce methanol and methanol production of downstream products unit , replacing coal with natural gas methanol project is classified as prohibited .
